Abdomen Crohn Diseases

Radiological Report : CT Abdomen/Pelvis With Contrast :
There is free fluid around the liver, spleen and in the pelvis.
In the right iliac fossa the caecum appears abnormally thick
walled with mucosal thickening and possibly fissure ulceration
of the ileo-caecal junction where the terminal ileum also appears
abnormally thickened. The terminalileum is surrounded by fluid
and the fat adjacent to the ileo-caecal region appears relatively
oedematous.
Liver, spleen, pancreas and both kidneys normal. No para-aortic
lymphadenopathy. IUCD noted.
CONCLUSION: Ileo-caecal mass with mucosal appearances highly
suggestive of Crohn's disease. Associated thick walled bowel,
localised ascites and oedema in fat and mesentery. One of the
tracks from the lumen is exceptionally deep (image 55) which
could either be a deep ulcer or even a localised perforation.
