Brain demylination MS

Radiological Report : MRI Head :

Dual echo axial scans, T1 and FLAIR coronal scans and T2 sagittal images have been acquired. The midline structures are central and the ventricles are of normal size and configuration. There are multiple foci of high signal on T2 in the periventricular deep white matter and also involving the corpus callosum. The T2 sagittal images show increased signal within the upper cervical cord. Although of course at this age white matter lesions are a common incidental finding, the morphology and distribution of these lesions is strongly suspicious of demyelination particularly in the presence of the cord abnormality.
