Renal Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia IVU
Radiological Report : Intravenous Urogram (IVU) :
No renal tract calcification.
Degenerative change of the lumbar spine noted.
After injection of contrast both renal outlines are well visualised
with no evidence of a renal mass.
The right pelvicalyceal system and ureter is well visualised
and appears normal.
On the left there is underfilling of the pelvicalyceal system
but reasonable visualisation is obtained with tomography, and
no abnormality is seen.
Both ureters appear normal.
There is a large inferior bladder impression in keeping with
prostatic hypertrophy, but the bladder empties fully.
IMPRESSION: Marked prostatic hypertrophy. No upper tract abnormality
seen.
